Consulting Services for the Independent Artist
Charlie Faye is a lifelong musician, music industry consultant, and artist manager, who has used her knowledge and expertise to help guide artists and bands through the industry for over a decade. She specializes in artist management, and project management for record releases. Her management clients include Judy Blank, Dylan LeBlanc, BettySoo, Somebody Someone, Lew Apollo, and Quentin.
Faye is the Head of A&R at Traffic Music, and manages artists under the umbrella of Loophole Management.
Faye's strong management skills and innovative way of doing things were gained by her experience as an artist. She put herself on the map when she did a 10-month residency tour, living in a different city each month, putting together a band of local musicians, and recording a new song in each city. Later, her retro-soul girl group Charlie Faye & The Fayettes garnered major media attention and critical praise, rose into the top 20 on the Americana Radio Chart, and landed her a publishing deal with Rough Trade, getting her songs placed in TV shows like Riverdale and Girlboss. Faye also worked as a music supervisor on independent films and advertising for brands.
Charlie has enjoyed speaking on and moderating panels at conferences like Folk Alliance International and AmericanaFest. She completed Austin Music Foundation's Leaders in Austin Music program, and was named a Changemaker by Austin Woman Magazine in 2024 in recognition of her consulting services for musicians, music businesses, and music nonprofits. She has also dedicated her time to working on projects related to affordable housing for artists.
